SB135 is about giving the wellness centers permission to bill a parents’ insurance; therefore, it is being pushed aggressively. Once again, this bill was brought up for a vote without adequate public notice. Within 3 hours of the hearing, we went to work on your behalf. The bill was tabled again. However, it will come back up in 5 weeks! Now is the time to be heard on this issue!
This problem needs to be corrected now or parents will be forced to choose between access to contraceptives without their knowledge or lose access to the health centers entirely.
